Disciplines taught
The purpose of the discipline is to familiarize students with the principles and features of microbiological processes used in biotechnology. As a result of the training, the student will comply with the requirements imposed on raw materials and microorganisms by producers, apply methods of cultivation of microorganisms, methods of isolation and purification of target products by specific industrial productions based on microbiological synthesis and transformation, conduct experiments using methods of cultivation of microorganisms.
The purpose of the discipline is an in-depth study of the theoretical foundations of the design, cloning and expression of genetic material in bacterial and eukaryotic cells, as well as the creation of organisms with a new genetic program. As a result of the training, the student will be able to explain the practical significance of genetic engineering, describe the main directions of growing living cells, explain antigens and antibodies, and choose the designs of a recombinant DNA molecule.
