On February 28, 2025, a career guidance trip to
Karaganda was organized. The event was led by Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian
Disciplines and World Languages, Saule Dyusetaevna Shaimukhanova. The
meeting took place at Boarding School
No. 68, named after Hero of the Soviet Union Martbek Mamraev, giving the
institution a special historical significance. Such a connection with history
inspires young people, helping them appreciate the importance of patriotism and
respect for those who fought for their country.
The event was successfully organized with the active support of teacher-organizer Mayrash
Amirovna Aikynbaeva, whose contribution played a key role in its
success. Boarding School No. 68 has 108
senior students, including 27 in the 11th grade, 43 in the 9th grade,
and 38 in the 10th grade. For them, making informed decisions about their
future education and career paths is particularly crucial.
During the meeting, students were given informational brochures about METU University
and its college, which contained details about available educational programs, admission requirements, scholarships,
discounts, and grants. They also learned about internship opportunities and career prospects after graduation.
Additionally, a university representative answered students` questions
regarding entrance exams, government
and institutional grants, and various student support programs.
Such career guidance events play a vital role in
helping students navigate important life choices, opening new opportunities and
perspectives. For many of them, this
meeting may have been the first step toward making a well-informed professional
choice.
