On March 19, 2025, a subject-based Olympiad in the field of "Programming" was held at Almaty Technological University, organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies.

The event gathered students from top technical universities across the country. The competition aimed to identify talented and promising students in the area of algorithmic and applied programming.

Among the participants, Zhumabay Asylzhan, a 3rd-year student of Software Engineering at the METU, showed an excellent performance and won 1st place.
