On April 3, 2025, students of the Biochemical Engineering Department at METU held a "subbotnik" (community clean-up event) on campus. The event gathered active students eager to contribute to improving the environment and the well-being of the university. More than 30 students from the Biochemical Engineering Department participated in the event, which included trash collection, landscaping, and beautification of the surrounding areas.

During the subbotnik, participants cleaned the areas around the academic buildings and carried out general landscaping work. The students demonstrated a high level of organization and team spirit while also gaining the opportunity to develop cooperation and responsibility skills.

The event organizers expressed gratitude to all participants and emphasized that such initiatives help unite students and strengthen the bond between various university departments.
