METU welcomes Professor Wan Ismahanisa Ismail from Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia) within the framework of an academic visit

From 14 to 18 April METU visited Professor Wan Ismahanisa Ismail from the Malaysian University Universiti Teknologi MARA, who visited the academy within the framework of his visit.

Professor Wan Ismahanisa Ismail is a specialist in the field of Medicine and biotechnology, author of several scientific publications and participant of international projects in the sphere of Molecular Genetics.

During his visit to METU, the professor held a lecture and seminar, where knowledge of genetic mutations, modern approaches to medical biotechnology, as well as research in the field of gene therapy was given. It has become a unique opportunity for students to get acquainted with the current international developments in the field of Science and discuss the issues of the world expert.

The lectures were held in English language and were opened for students of all faculties, interested in biomedical sciences. Such visits will help expand academic horizons and strengthen international cooperation.

Visit professor Wan Ismahanisa Ismail was an important step in the development of partner relations between METU and Universiti Teknologi MARA. At the same time, at the final stage of the signing of agreements on cooperation, and at the same time, there is a need for the introduction of a student loan program between universities.
