During a solemn ceremony for
the presentation of state awards and prizes, President of the Republic of
Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev (https://www.akorda.kz/ru/vystuplenie-prezidenta-kasym-zhomarta-tokaeva-na-torzhestvennoy-ceremonii-vrucheniya-gosudarstvennyh-nagrad-i-premiy-2492626) called on the youth to be patriotic, educated, hardworking, frugal, just,
and compassionate; to actively engage in physical activity and sports; to learn
what is good and reject what is bad; to avoid five harmful traits and strive
toward five virtues, as taught by the great Abai.
In line with this message, on April 24, 2025, first-year students of the Russian-language department, during their study of the period of independent Kazakhstan in the “History of Kazakhstan” course, explored the President’s address and conducted a personal reflection exercise. They were asked to:
