METU and Novosibirsk State University sign a cooperation agreement to strengthen international scientific collaboration

On June 2, 2025, an official meeting was held in Novosibirsk between the delegation of the International Engineering and Technological University (METU, Kazakhstan) and the leadership of Novosibirsk State University (NSU, Russia). As part of the visit, a cooperation agreement in the field of science and education was signed between the two universities.

The parties discussed prospects for joint activities in fundamental and applied research, training of scientific personnel, academic mobility, and the implementation of dual-degree educational programs. Particular attention was given to student and faculty exchange, as well as the organization of research internships and practical training based on the leading laboratories and research centers of both institutions.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, highlighting the importance of this event for the development of Kazakhstan-Russia scientific and technical cooperation. Participants expressed their readiness to expand partnerships and launch joint initiatives in key areas such as engineering, ICT, biotechnology, and agricultural sciences.

The signing of the agreement marks a significant step toward deeper integration of the scientific and educational spaces of Kazakhstan and Russia and the expansion of international opportunities for METU students and researchers.
