In early June 2025, the International Technological University METU hosted an important and inspiring event — a meeting on the topic “METU National Teams — Universiade 2025.” The meeting was attended by University Rector Darkhan Berikuly Akpanbetov, Director of the Youth Policy Department Dina Dauletkyzy Ryskeldi, and Associate Professor of the Department of Social-Humanitarian Disciplines and World Languages, PhD in Pedagogy, Arman Zamanbekuly Estemesov. The participants discussed in detail the preparation process for the Universiade, the athletic achievements of METU students, and the clearly defined goals for the future. In his address, the Rector stated: “Sport is not just physical training, but a great school of discipline, perseverance, and team spirit.” Motivational support was provided to the students, and explanatory work was carried out to strengthen their sense of confidence and responsibility. It was also noted that the university is creating all the necessary conditions for its athletes.
METU students in football and boxing have earned the right to represent the university in Universiade 2025, one of the most prestigious student sports events in the country. This is not just a sports achievement — it is a clear reflection of the determination and spiritual strength of METU’s students. Our athletes serve as shining examples of discipline, hard work, and the pursuit of great goals. They not only defend the honor of the university but also inspire future generations.
