On July
30, 2025, the Rector of the International Engineering and Technological University
(METU), Darkhan Akpanbetov, visited the production site where a project is
being implemented to develop technology for obtaining solid sea buckthorn oil
and a natural enterosorbent.
The production site has launched the
manufacturing of biologically active supplements under the ANKOR brand, a
result of the effective transformation of scientific achievements into a
marketable product.
The foundation for the practical implementation
of the project was laid by scientific research conducted by METU scientists
within the framework of the commercialization grant project DP21682074
"Development of Technology for Obtaining Solid Sea Buckthorn Oil and
Enterosorbent", supported by the Science Fund of the Republic of
Kazakhstan. METU is the official applicant of the project.
The visit was also attended by Oksana Karuna,
Vice-Rector for Science, Innovation Policy, and Marketing of METU, and Moldir Kuatova,
Director of the Department for Scientific and Innovative Activities of METU.
At the production site, products developed using the specified technology are being manufactured for further application in biologically active supplements. The visit provided an opportunity to observe the technological process, modern equipment, and the scale of project implementation.
