On October 4, 2025, an off-site session was held for 4th-year students of the “Technological Machines and Equipment” educational program at the Almaty Promsvyaz Plant.

The session was conducted by Associate Professor D.A. Karmanov from the Department of Technology and Engineering of Food Production.

The topic of the session was “Mathematical Support of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Systems. 3D Modeling of Simple Parts”. During the visit, students became acquainted with the use of modern CAD software in industrial settings, as well as the process of designing and editing 3D models of mechanical parts.

The practical part included demonstrations of 3D modeling and analysis of typical tasks solved using engineering graphics tools. Special attention was given to the relationship between theoretical foundations of mathematical support and their practical applications in a production environment.

This off-site format helped students strengthen their professional competencies and better connect academic knowledge with real-world engineering practice.
