As part of the CareerTalks project, a master class was held with speakers from the international company “Mareven Food Tian-Shan”, dedicated to modern technologies and career opportunities in the food industry.
The company representative spoke about production processes, practical applications of technology, and prospects for industry development. The session was highly interactive — students participated in games and activities, including “Who wants to feel like a technologist right now?”, allowing them to try out the role firsthand.
Students of the Department of Food
Production Engineering and Technology were particularly active, asking
questions about production, internships, and employment opportunities.
The second speaker, a METU student who currently works at the company as a 3rd-grade Operator, shared his experience of balancing study and work, and gave practical advice on how students can start a career in the food industry.
Active participants received drinks and exclusive company products that are not yet available on the Kazakhstani market.
Such CareerTalks master classes help
students see real career prospects, understand how academic knowledge is
applied in practice, and take a confident step toward their professional
future.
