On October 10, METU hosted a CareerTalks session on the topic “IT Sphere in the Banking System.”

The guest speaker was Zhasulan Akylayev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Tenge Bank. He shared his professional experience, spoke about the implementation of IT solutions in the banking industry, and highlighted their importance for the development of the modern financial sector.

Students from the Department of Software Engineering and the Department of Economics and Business actively engaged in discussions, asking questions about the digitalization of banking processes, career prospects in IT, and opportunities for young professionals.
