METU Activists Conducted Dormitory Visits

At METU, in connection with the start of the spring semester, student activists carried out a planned inspection of the university dormitories. The main goal of the initiative was to introduce newly arrived students to the dormitory rules, provide them with essential information about student life at the university, and support their adaptation process.

During the inspection, activists met with students, answered their questions, and shared information about student organizations and opportunities to participate in university events. Special attention was given to students who had recently moved into the dormitories.

In addition, the initiative emphasized the prevention of misconduct in student dormitories and the promotion of the principles of “Law and Order.” Students were reminded of internal regulations, safety requirements, and the importance of maintaining a respectful culture of shared living.

The inspection also included monitoring cleanliness, order, and compliance with sanitary standards. Students were encouraged to treat shared property responsibly and to maintain a clean and organized living environment.

Such initiatives contribute to creating a comfortable and safe atmosphere for students, strengthening discipline, and fostering a sense of responsibility. METU student activists continue their systematic efforts to ensure favorable conditions for both studying and living.
