Active student volunteers of our university carried out career guidance activities in the schools of their hometowns where they themselves had graduated. The main purpose of this initiative was to help high school students make informed decisions about their future careers and to provide comprehensive information about educational opportunities at the university.
During the meetings, students presented information to school pupils and teachers about the university’s academic programs, features of the educational process, admission requirements, available educational grants and benefits, as well as opportunities for accommodation in student dormitories. In addition, they highlighted active student life, participation in student organizations, and opportunities for personal and professional development.
An important part of the events was the sharing of personal experiences by the student activists. They spoke openly about their own admission journey, challenges and achievements during their studies, and the support provided by faculty members and the university administration. This format allowed school graduates to receive reliable information firsthand and ask questions of direct relevance to them.
Conducting career guidance activities in the very schools from which the students themselves had graduated gave the events special significance and a strong motivational impact. This initiative helped strengthen ties between the university and regional schools and increased interest among graduates in pursuing higher education. Such career guidance activities are planned to continue and expand in the future.
