On December 10, 2025, the International Engineering and Technological University (METU) signed a cooperation agreement with Baku State University (Azerbaijan) aimed at developing academic exchange, joint educational programs, and scientific research.

As part of the implementation of this agreement, on February 15, 2026, METU students are departing to study at Baku State University under the academic mobility program for the spring semester. The program includes studying specialized disciplines, exchanging academic experience, and familiarization with the educational and research environment of the host university.

The implementation of academic mobility programs contributes to the development of students’ professional competencies, intercultural communication skills, and increases the competitiveness of graduates in the international labor market.

The university administration notes that cooperation with Baku State University opens new opportunities for students and faculty members, strengthens METU’s international partnerships, and promotes the development of joint educational and research initiatives.
