On March 21, 2026, the International Engineering and Technological University METU hosted the semi-final of the international programming competition “Monetization of Ideas.”

METU consistently supports talented youth and creates opportunities for unlocking the potential of future leaders in the IT industry. This year, the competition reached an international level, bringing together around 30 teams of school students and college students. Participants presented their own mobile applications and competed for 45 educational grants.

The project is implemented with the participation of the Representative Office of “1C,” “1C Kazakhstan,” as well as the group of companies “1C-Sapa” and “Slava VC.” Over the past seven years, the competition has united more than 1,500 participants, resulting in the development of 64 projects and the receipt of more than 20 copyright certificates.

Today, the “Monetization of Ideas” competition is not merely a contest but a powerful platform for developing entrepreneurial thinking, digital competencies and a confident start in the IT field. Hosting the semi-final at METU marked an important milestone for participants on their path toward innovation and professional growth.
