March 17 is celebrated as Shanyrak Day according to the Nauryznama calendar. For the Kazakh people, the shanyrak is not just the верхняя часть юрты (the dome of a yurt), but a symbol of unity, upbringing, love, and continuity of generations.

On this occasion, the Scientific Library, together with the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities and World Languages, organized a round table on the topic “Family Values.”

During the event, participants explored the deep meaning of the concept of shanyrak and shared their views on the role of the family in society, as well as the importance of national upbringing and spiritual values. Such meaningful meetings greatly contribute to instilling family values in the younger generation.
