From March 16 to 20, 2026, at Almaty Technological University, the “Programmer” Olympiad was held among higher education institutions, organized by the Department of “Computer Engineering.”

The competition aimed to test the knowledge, logical thinking, and programming skills of future IT specialists.

During the Olympiad, students representing the Department of “Smart Technologies in Engineering” demonstrated a high level of knowledge and achieved the following results:

• 1st place – Abdykali Azat Ruslanuly (RET-23-1k)
• 2nd place – Omarova Ainara Ruslankyzy (RET-23-1k)
• 3rd place – Alieva Saltanat Erbolkyzy, Amangeldi Medina Nurgazykyzy (RET-23-1k)

In addition, for active participation, the following students were recognized: Koshtay Balayim Nursultanqyzy, Bekbergen Balausa Talgatkyzy, Egamberdiev Shukhrat Bakhtiyor Ugli, Manapova Aym Didarkyzy, Abat Nurgisa Adaybekuly.

The students’ scientific supervisor, lecturer of the Department of “Smart Technologies in Engineering,” Tajibay Isatay Serikuly, was also awarded a letter of appreciation for his contribution to the development of science and education.

This Olympiad provided students with an excellent opportunity to enhance their knowledge and exchange experiences with talented youth from other universities. We congratulate the winners and wish them continued success in reaching new heights!
