On
April 10, 2026, an online lecture by the distinguished Turkish scholar, Doctor
of Historical Sciences and Professor at Süleyman Demirel University (Isparta,
Turkey), Mehmet Emin Chen, was held in the conference hall of the International
Engineering and Technology University in Almaty at the invitation of the
Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and World Languages.
The event took place as part of the annual
“Science Week” and attracted significant interest among faculty members,
students, and researchers of the university. During the lecture, Professor
Mehmet Emin Chen presented substantial academic material addressing current
issues in modern historical science and shared the results of his research, as
well as scholarly approaches applied in the Turkish academic environment.
Particular attention was given to intercultural
and interdisciplinary dialogue, which enabled participants to broaden their
academic perspectives and reconsider the studied issues from new viewpoints.
The lecture was accompanied by an active discussion: participants asked
questions, exchanged opinions, and engaged in professional dialogue with the
speaker.
