MITU HOSTED A SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR AND AN OPEN LECTURE AS PART OF “SCIENCE DECADE – 2026”
On April 14, 2026, the International Engineering and Technology University held a series of important academic events as part of “Science Decade – 2026” under the theme “The Development of Science and Technology in the Era of Artificial Intelligence.” As part of the program, BioAI Lab organized an open lecture titled “Innovative Methods in Biotechnology.” The lecture was delivered by Maximzhan Tursunovich Velyamov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The lecture introduced participants to current scientific trends in biotechnology, innovative approaches, and their practical significance.
In addition, the university’s Scientific Library conference hall hosted a scientific seminar entitled “Modern Challenges and Methods in Machine Learning and Robotic Systems.” The seminar featured presentations on reproducibility in machine learning, the impact of interval selection, data splitting and evaluation metrics, coordination structures for autonomous heterogeneous robots in search-and-rescue operations, SCORM Agents, and the practical use of large language models (LLMs) in science. Presentations were delivered by PhD and Associate Professor Arshyn Altybai, Associate Professor Aidos Sayatuly Ibraev, PhD and Professor Gulshat Amanzholovna Amirkhanova, and Nurtugan Galymzhan Bauyrzhanuly, Lecturer of the Department of Software Engineering. The event concluded with a Q&A session and final remarks.
These events contributed to the development of the university’s academic environment, strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration, and expanded young researchers’ knowledge in the field of modern technologies.
