The participation of METU students in this program became possible thanks to the dedicated efforts of the University`s Department of International Cooperation. Over the past several months, representatives of METU and Harbin Engineering University held a series of online meetings and discussions via Zoom to explore opportunities for collaboration in education, research, academic mobility, and joint international initiatives.

As a result of these negotiations, METU students and master`s students received official invitations to join the Summer School. Their visit to Harbin represents the first practical outcome of the developing partnership between the two universities and serves as a pilot project for future cooperation.

This initiative is expected to create new opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, joint educational programs, and collaborative research projects between METU and Harbin Engineering University.

Prior to departure, the participants were seen off by the staff of MITU`s Department of International Cooperation, who wished them academic success, valuable international experience, and a rewarding stay in China.
