From June 6 to 14, 2026, the XXIV Asian Armwrestling Championship and the XXIII Asian Para-Armwrestling Championship were held in Korumdu, Issyk-Kul Region, Kyrgyz Republic.

METU student and Kazakhstani athlete Mikhail Klimachyov delivered an outstanding performance and won the gold medal, taking 1st place in the Youth Men 55 kg / Right category.

His remarkable achievement reflects dedication, perseverance, and excellent preparation while proudly representing Kazakhstan on the international sports stage. Mikhail Klimachyov’s success serves as an inspiration for young athletes and contributes to the further development of armwrestling in the country.
