Jiangsu University of Technology (JSUT), a prominent
Chinese state university, has published dedicated features on its official
media platforms celebrating the triumph of the joint robotics team, which
included exchange students from Kazakhstan.
As previously reported, the 2026 International
Embodied Intelligence Innovation Competition – Central Asia Robotics Special
Event concluded successfully in Astana on June 11. The "Longcheng
Robotics" team—comprising JSUT student Zhang Enhe and talented exchange
students from the International Engineering and Technology University (METU), Askar
Raimbek and Arnur Ospanov—secured an impressive third-place
finish in the high-tech collaborative robot intelligent picking and
handling track.
In their official articles, our Chinese colleagues
emphasized that this success is a direct result of a unique international
academic synergy. The METU students, who spent their spring semester studying
in China under an academic exchange program, completed their intensive training
under the cross-border guidance of a joint mentor duo: Professor Yin
Mingfeng from JSUT and lecturer Meruert Sakypbekova from METU.
Organizers and experts noted that this year`s
competition featured an exceptionally demanding framework. The entire event was
built around real-world industrial tasks executed in real time. The expert jury
evaluated the teams` skills in equipment debugging, troubleshooting, and
project optimization strictly according to real industrial standards. This
rigorous grading makes the bronze medal a powerful validation of our students`
advanced technical skills.
Associate Professor Yu Qinmei, Director of the
International Cooperation & Exchange Office at JSUT, noted that their joint
participation and victory serve as concrete proof of the effectiveness of
integrating international education with industry.
The administration of the International Engineering
and Technology University (METU) expresses its deepest gratitude to the
leadership and faculty of Jiangsu University of Technology for their
comprehensive support of our students, for providing world-class facilities for
their research, and for highly valuing our bilateral partnership.
We are incredibly proud of our students and look
forward to further expanding the horizons of academic mobility, joint research,
and double-degree programs within our strategic cooperation!
