Moldir Kuatova, PhD, Director of the Department of Science and Innovation at the International Engineering and Technological University (METU), represented the Republic of Kazakhstan in the International Program for Foreign Scholars and Professionals organized by the Government of Gansu Province, People`s Republic of China.
Following a competitive selection process, 19 delegates from 18 countries were selected from more than 70 applicants to participate in the program. Moldir Kuatova was among the selected representatives.
The program focused on China`s public policy in science, higher education, and innovation, modern approaches to developing highly qualified human capital for high-tech industries, as well as international academic and scientific cooperation.
As part of the program, participants visited leading universities, vocational education centers, innovation parks, high-tech enterprises, research organizations, and government institutions across Gansu Province. Particular attention was given to the integration of education, science, and industry, the development of innovation ecosystems, technology transfer, and university–industry collaboration.
Participation in the program provided an opportunity to study international best practices in science and technology development, establish new professional connections, and explore перспективes for cooperation with Chinese universities, research institutions, and industrial partners.
The knowledge and experience gained will contribute to the further development of METU`s international scientific activities, expansion of partnerships with foreign universities and research centers, and implementation of joint educational, scientific, and innovation projects.
