Today, the International Engineering and Technological
University (METU) took another significant step towards the global integration
of science, education, and advanced manufacturing. The university hosted an
official meeting with the leadership of the major Chinese high-tech company
Xinjiang SOJO New Energy Co., Ltd., which concluded with the signing of a
bilateral memorandum of cooperation.
To discuss the prospects of joint projects, a
high-level delegation from the PRC visited the university, including Wang
Weiping, President of Xinjiang SOJO New Energy Co., Ltd., and Chen
Jingchang, General Director.
SOJO is a recognized leader in power grid
digitalization, renewable energy, and electric vehicle infrastructure. The
partnership with METU — one of the flagships of engineering education in
Kazakhstan — will open new horizons for the development of green technologies
in the region.
As part of the visit, Darkhan Akpanbetov, Rector of METU, personally guided the foreign guests on a tour
of the campus. The Chinese delegation was shown modern academic buildings and
cutting-edge research laboratories of the university. Mr. Wang Weiping and Mr.
Chen Jingchang highly praised the technical equipment of the university, noting
its deep, practice-oriented approach to training young engineers.
The signed memorandum lays a solid foundation for
