The International Engineering and Technological University has launched a series of information sessions on academic mobility for students of 18 educational programs at METU.

The sessions are organized by the Department of International Cooperation. Their main purpose is to introduce students to study opportunities at international partner universities, current academic mobility destinations, participation requirements, and application deadlines.

The first information session was held for students of the Department of Software Engineering.

During the meeting, Karlygash N. Shokhayeva, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, provided students with detailed information on the requirements for participation in the academic mobility program, the required documents, application deadlines, selection stages, as well as new international destinations and partner universities.

An important part of the meeting was an open discussion with students who had already participated in academic mobility during the previous academic year and studied at foreign universities. They shared their impressions and spoke about the academic process, adaptation to a new environment, student life, and their personal study-abroad experience.

The meeting was held in an open-dialogue format. Students actively asked questions about university selection, candidate requirements, application deadlines, language preparation, and the next stages of the selection process.

The Department of International Cooperation expresses its sincere gratitude to Bektas Bostanov, Head of the Department of Software Engineering, for his organizational support, assistance in bringing students together, and contribution to engaging students in academic mobility programs.

Throughout the week, information sessions will continue with students from other educational programs of the university. In total, the initiative is expected to cover 18 educational programs at METU.

Such meetings allow students to receive all necessary information in advance, ask questions directly, and better prepare for the competitive selection process.

Academic mobility is an opportunity to gain international academic experience, expand professional connections, and discover new educational and cultural perspectives.
