A festive event dedicated to Faculty Day was held at
the International Engineering and Technology University . Organized by
the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and World Languages, the
event saw active participation from first-year students. This initiative aimed
to express deep respect for the faculty, strengthen academic traditions, and
foster the university`s corporate culture.
A celebratory and inspiring atmosphere filled the
foyer of the main campus building. Students performed vocal numbers dedicated
to the faculty members, presented them with commemorative greeting cards
featuring heartfelt wishes, and shared symbolic treats.
As part of the festive program arranged by the
department, the following initiatives were implemented:
Interactive "Wishes Board": A dedicated
display for collecting feedback, expressions of gratitude, and warm wishes
addressed to the university`s academic staff.
Express Sociological Survey: A survey among students
aimed at highlighting the role of mentors in student personal development and
expressing gratitude to professors who have made a significant contribution to
their education and upbringing.
The event underscored the high value of academic
teaching, contributed to strengthening intergenerational dialogue, and promoted
a positive socio-psychological environment within the METU community.
