THE FIRST SESSION OF THE PUBLIC SPEAKING CLUB WAS HELD

The first session of the Public Speaking Club was held at the university. The club was established for students interested in developing public speaking skills, effective communication, articulate speech, and confident self-expression.

The club is led by Tukebayeva Zhanyl Aubakirovna, Associate Professor, who, as part of the club’s activities, will contribute to the development of students’ communication and public speaking competencies essential for academic and professional activities, as well as everyday communication.

The first session took place in a warm, open, and engaging atmosphere. During the meeting, participants introduced themselves, learned about the goals, objectives, and main areas of the club’s activities, and discussed the importance of public speaking skills in modern society.

Particular attention was paid to the fact that the ability to express one’s thoughts clearly, accurately, and convincingly is one of the key skills of a modern professional. Confident speech not only helps individuals speak successfully in front of an audience but also enables them to communicate effectively with colleagues, defend their viewpoints, present ideas, and build rapport with others.

During the practical part of the first session, students completed a series of exercises aimed at developing diction, proper breathing techniques, expressive speech, and confidence when speaking in front of an audience. Participants had the opportunity to practice short public speeches, learn how to manage nervousness, and pay attention to the key aspects of non-verbal communication.

In the future, club sessions will be conducted in the form of practical training sessions, discussions, role-playing activities, improvisation exercises, and public speaking practices. Participants will have the opportunity to improve their skills in structuring speeches, engaging with an audience, presenting arguments, and communicating their own ideas effectively.

One of the main objectives of the club is to create a comfortable learning environment where every student can unlock their potential, overcome the fear of public speaking, and gain confidence in their abilities.

The first session marked an important step in the beginning of the club’s activities and brought together students who are committed to their personal and professional development.

The Public Speaking Club invites all students to actively participate in the upcoming sessions!
