On October 23, 2026, an educational event
entitled “The Spirit of the Republic — The Foundation of Statehood” was held at
the library of Building 2 of METU in celebration of the Republic Day of
Kazakhstan.
The main objectives of the event were to
foster students’ civic awareness, strengthen their respect for national values,
develop a sense of responsibility for the country’s future, and encourage the
creative use of modern technologies.
As part of the event, an open dialogue was
held with first-year students from the IITE-26.1.2 r/o and UiA-26-1 r/o groups.
The discussion focused on the historical significance of Republic Day, the
values of statehood and independence, and young people’s responsibility to
society. Students answered questions, expressed their views, and shared their
thoughts on the future of Kazakhstan.
A special part of the event was dedicated
to artificial intelligence. Using AI tools, students created original projects
on the theme “Kazakhstan of the Future.” Through their work, they presented
their vision of Kazakhstan’s future, including modern cities, innovative
technologies, and opportunities for national development. This activity not only
encouraged creativity but also helped develop students’ digital literacy,
critical thinking, and ability to use modern technologies effectively.
The event brought together discussions on
historical awareness, national identity, civic responsibility, and the
potential of artificial intelligence. Students’ active participation and
exchange of ideas enriched the discussion and demonstrated their genuine
interest in the future of their country.
The future of an independent nation rests
in the hands of an educated, responsible, and innovative generation. This
Republic Day event aimed to strengthen students’ patriotic values and foster
confidence in Kazakhstan’s bright future.
