On October 18, 2026, students of the Тур-26-1.1к group at METU University, accompanied by L.M. Makhazhanova, a lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences, Humanities and World Languages, visited Almaty Central Stadium, where a football match between Kairat and Ertis took place. The students attended the match to support Kairat and become part of a major sporting event.

Attending the football match gave the students an opportunity to learn about the organization of sporting events, experience the exciting atmosphere of a football celebration, and see how sport brings together fans of different generations. They were able to observe the teams` performance, the enthusiasm of the supporters, and the operation of the stadium during the match.

For future tourism professionals, such activities have significant educational value. Sports tourism is one of the developing areas of the modern tourism industry. Football matches attract visitors, contribute to the development of event tourism, and help promote the city’s image.
