General provisions

The “Young Technician” student research club of the International Engineering and Technological University is a voluntary scientific and technical association for students interested in technological machinery and equipment.

The club operates on the principles of voluntary participation, equality, academic integrity, safety, teamwork, self-governance, and compliance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The club is not a legal entity.

Mission

To apply modern engineering methods to the modernization of technological equipment, develop students' technical creativity, and foster design and manufacturing thinking.

Goal

To reinforce theoretical knowledge and develop students' practical and research skills in the design, operation, and improvement of technological machinery and equipment.

Main objectives:

• Teach the preparation of technical drawings and model components;
• Develop skills in transferring drawings onto materials and producing parts;
• Build skills in metal cutting, straightening, bending, soldering, and riveting;
• Assemble mock-ups and models from ready-made components;
• Explore modern approaches to the digitalization of mechanical engineering;
• Prepare scientific and technical projects and presentations.

Main activities:

• Practical design and manufacturing work;
• Technical and graphical training;
• Processing of metals and engineering materials;
• Assembly of educational models and equipment mock-ups;
• Discussion of engineering innovations and professional literature;
• Student projects, exhibitions, and research events.

Members' rights:

• Participate in club meetings, projects, and events;
• Propose additions to the work plan and meeting themes;
• Receive complete information about club activities;
• Develop individual or team technical projects;
• Withdraw from the club voluntarily.

Members' responsibilities:

• Follow safety and equipment-operating requirements;
• Contribute to the club's goal and objectives;
• Follow the approved plan and principles of academic integrity;
• Complete assigned tasks responsibly;
• Avoid actions that may damage the reputation of the club or university.

Structure and management

The club consists of scientific supervisors, a chairperson, a secretary, and members. The supervisors define the scientific and methodological direction and approve the plan. The chairperson organizes meetings and events. The secretary maintains minutes and internal records.

Membership

University students who are prepared to participate regularly may become members. Faculty members and engineering specialists may be invited as advisers.
