Regulation of the Research Center “3D Modeling Technologies and Spatial Data Analysis”

1. General Provisions

1.1. The Research Center “3D Modeling Technologies and Spatial Data Analysis” (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is a structural unit engaged in the development and application of three-dimensional modeling technologies, spatial analysis, and virtual reality.
1.2. The Center was created with the aim of advancing scientific research, implementing innovative solutions, and preparing specialists in the field of 3D technologies and spatial data.
1.3. The Center operates on the basis of the organization’s regulatory documents, within the framework of applicable legislation and internal regulations.
1.4. The main areas of activity of the Center include scientific research, educational projects, development of software and hardware solutions, as well as cooperation with enterprises and educational institutions.

2. Mission and Goals of the Center

The mission of the Center is to implement advanced 3D technologies and spatial analysis methods to address current scientific, engineering, and applied tasks, as well as to contribute to the digital transformation of industries.

The goals of the Center:

  • Development of innovative methods of 3D modeling and spatial analysis.
  • Creation of realistic three-dimensional models of objects, territories, and processes.
  • Development of virtual and augmented reality technologies for spatial information analysis.
  • Improving the accuracy and speed of spatial data processing.
  • Integration of 3D technologies into the educational process and training of specialists.
  • Conducting scientific research and participating in international projects.
  • Collaboration with business, industry, and government organizations.

3. Main Areas of Activity

3.1. Research and Development

  • Development of algorithms and technologies for creating highly accurate 3D models.
  • Application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in spatial data processing.
  • Exploring the capabilities of virtual reality for modeling and simulation.
  • Development of digital twins and their integration with geographic information systems.

3.2. Educational Activities

  • Organization of courses, seminars, and workshops on 3D modeling and virtual reality.
  • Development of educational programs on spatial analysis.
  • Training specialists in the field of digital modeling and spatial data processing.

3.3. Applied Projects and Cooperation

4. The Center is equipped with modern equipment and software tools for effective work with 3D data, animation, and spatial analysis. The main components of the equipment include:

 

• 3D Modeling Stations

Powerful graphic workstations with high-performance processors and graphics cards (e.g., NVIDIA or RTX), allowing for the processing of large data volumes and rendering complex scenes in real-time.

• Motion Capture Systems

Mocap equipment, including suits and sensors such as Rokoko Smartsuit Pro, which allows for capturing the movements of actors and transferring them to 3D characters to create realistic animations.

• Virtual Reality (VR) Systems

VR equipment, including virtual reality headsets (e.g., Oculus Rift or HTC Vive), which allows users to interact with 3D models and animations in virtual space.

• Educational Equipment

Laboratories equipped with workstations for students and researchers, with software for modeling and data analysis.
