METU College Grants 2025

  • The College of the International University of Engineering and Technology has the opportunity to apply for state grants on the basis of grades 9 and 11.
  • Grants are provided for 7 specialties.

  • How and when to apply for a grant?

    • t is possible to apply for a state grant to the college only from June 20 to July 18

METU Undergraduate Grants 2025

  • At the International Engineering and Technological University, all 17 programs are fully funded by government grants, providing 100% free education. The opportunity to receive a grant is available for applicants with a minimum UNT score of 50.

  • The opportunity to receive a grant is available for applicants with a minimum UNT score of 50 State grants are available only for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and are open to high school and college graduates.

    • One of them is a rector`s grant. A rector`?s grant is an opportunity to study for free, provided by the rector of the university for successful educational and scientific achievements.

    • The rector`s grant is received by:

      • Owners of the “Altyn Belgy” sign who scored at least 50 points at the UNT;
      • Excellent student activists based on the results of the academic year;
      • Winners of competitions and olympiads held by our university.

    This is a grant for free education for applicants:
    • from low-income families in rural areas,
    • orphans and children with disabilities,
    • those who have not received a state or other grant.

    • Information about the number of available grants and the application process will be announced in August 2025.

    • These are grants from local executive bodies. Only for residents of Almaty and the Almaty region.

    • Every year, educational grants are allocated from the budget of local executive bodies (akimats) for targeted training in priority specialties. Akimat grants are awarded on a competitive basis. At the same time, special attention is paid to applicants from socially vulnerable categories of the population.

    • Information on the quantity and submission of documents for akimat grants will begin in August 2025.

    • In 2025, METU offers three PhD programs that are eligible for state grants.


    Grants for the second higher education at METU 2025

    • In 2025, unfortunately, there are no grants for those entering second higher education at METU. But you can study full-time using distance learning technologies with a discount of almost 50% on the cost of a bachelor’s degree after school.

    • The only discount for obtaining a second higher education is a discount from the cost of a regular bachelor's degree - approximately 50%. Other discounts do not apply to full-time education using distance learning technologies.


    Grants for full-time using distance technologies at METU 2025

    • In 2025, unfortunately, there are no grants for those entering full-time studies using distance learning technologies. But you can study with a discount of almost 50% on the cost of a bachelor`s degree after school.


    Grants for foreign citizens in METU 2025

  • In 2025, unfortunately, there are no grants available for applicants from abroad.
  • Unfortunately, discounts and benefits are not provided for incoming foreign citizens in 2025.
