The Department of Youth Policy is a structural unit of METU that organizes public, social, and cultural events and works closely with students. Social and educational work at the university is carried out directly under the guidance of the department.
● Objectives of the Department of Youth Policy
The activities of the Department of Youth Policy, in accordance with its purpose, are aimed at achieving the following objectives:
- organizing social protection and support, improving living conditions, health promotion, and mass physical education activities for students;
- organizing and conducting educational, cultural, and creative activities;
- assisting students of the university in finding employment;
- ensuring the successful adaptation of first-year students to academic life;
- creating an optimal cultural environment aimed at developing moral and spiritual values in modern life;
- meeting the needs of students in intellectual, cultural, moral, and physical development;
● Functions of the Department of Youth Policy:
- organizing work to develop a comprehensive concept and system of social and educational work with students;
- developing regulatory documents for organizing and conducting educational work with students at the university and in METU dormitories;
- developing draft plans for social and educational work at the university and ensuring their implementation;
- developing proposals and recommendations for improving the system of educational work with students;
- organizing work to provide financial assistance to students;
Ректорат университета регулярно проводит социологические опросы студентов/магистрантов в целях улучшения качества преподавания дисциплин, анализа своих сильных и слабых сторон образовательного и воспитательного процесса. По результатам анкетирования составляется аналитический отчет для руководства университета с целью выявления недостатков и улучшения образовательной среды университета. Все опросы проходят в анонимном порядке и результаты тестирования никоим образом не влияют на будущее положение респондентов.
METU Life
К 20-летию Казахстанского инженерно-технологического университета впервые издан электронный студенческий журнал «KAZETU Life», ныне «METU Life».
«METU Life» - студенческий журнал, объединяющий в один канал новости образовательно-научной, учебно-воспитательной молодежной политики, иллюстрирующий жизнедеятельность Казахстанского инженерно - технологического университета. Это интерактивное издание создано совместно с читателями журнала и передает хорошие новости и события, происходящие ежедневно в университете.
При поддержке ректора университета Г. А. Сарсенбековой первый номер электронного журнала вышел 05 мая 2021 года. Наш журнал станет вестником новостей университета, пропагандистом достижений будущих специалистов, ярким воспоминанием о интересных моментах студенческой жизни.
